and then one key press and it can really dial in the specific frame you want. it looks so cool, and I know that jog shuttle would make it so much easier to go back/forth through clips. because of this I can pass it up.īut dammit. Essentially it gives my one keyboard the ability to quickly switch in to this keyboard, minus the jog shuttle. so keys for in/out points, camera selection, etc can all be done. so when I load up Resolve, I hit this key and my keyboard goes in to cut/edit page mode. I can set up a few key combos or individual keys (depending on the mechanical keyboard you are using) such that I can instantly have a full Resolve keyboard mapping at one keypress. with a little technical/software know how, you can set up "layers" in your keyboard where you press one key, and your entire keyboard is remapped to a new layer of keys. Because of this, the programmability of mechanical keyboards is nuts.

which this one clearly uses mechanical switches. but for $300 (with the license to boot) is way out of reach. Let me give you an example of where this keyboard SHOULD go. The main reason I can "let this go" is for the most part the keys are mappable on a standard keyboard, and that this keyboard has no ability to remap keys for any reason. I am REALLY trying to stop binge spending on shit that is cool, and I might use from time to time, but largely wont. it could make me faster when I edit that video once a month or so.". I keep seeing videos, posts, reading reviews. already own studio license from BMPCC4K camera. MAN! I am a hobbyist who wants this thing just to have it.
